Winter Break Closure:
There will be NO Drop-In hours during the 2 weeks of Winter Break. We will re-open for Drop-In services on Monday, January 4th.
Please note that in the event of snow, OP will follow the 4J Snow Closure Schedule.
Drop-in Hours:
Drop-in hours are now from 3-6 PM, Monday-Thursday. We are now open BY APPOINTMENT only on Fridays. We welcome all girls ages 10-18 to drop in anytime between 3-6 PM Monday- Thursday to relax, read, chat, ask questions, or explore resources. You’ll have access to adult support and referrals, computers, and our libraries.

Next Step: Learn to Re-build
Computers! (Ages 14 & up)
Ever wonder about the inner workings of your computer? On Saturday, May 15th, from
10 AM-2 PM, come to Next Step Recycling to learn how to dismantle & rebuild computers. This training prepares you to volunteer for 40 hours in order to earn a refurbished computer of your own! The cost of training is $3. Lunch will be

Twilight Discussion Series
Whether you love (or love to hate) the Twilight series, you’ll want to check out this group at Ophelia’s Place! In this 4-week group, we will use the Twilight books and movies to discuss self care and relationships and answer this question: How do we question media messages but still enjoy watching movies and reading? Mondays 4-5 PM

Girls’ Clay Workshop at Clay Space
Meet at ClaySpace on Friday, April 23rd from 4-6 PM to get your hands in clay and make your own creation! In this workshop, you will learn basic hand-building to make a unique mug to give as a gift or keep for yourself. $5 requested donation. All instruction and materials are included! Poetry/Drumming Café (10-18 y/o)
Have you ever been interested in learning about African hand-drumming or thought about
writing poetry? Come to Ophelia’s Place on Friday, June 4th, from 4-6 PM for a café that you can tailor to your personal interests. You may want to try poetry games, writing, and reading. In the drumming portion of the café, there will be a drumming demonstration, a short lesson, and a “jam session” for those interested in learning or practicing skills and rhythms on hand drums. FREE. “Spring Cleaning” Spa Day
Spring is a great time to renew our energy and let go of the grays and “blues” of winter. Bring an adult female mentor or guardian to Ophelia’s Place on Saturday, May 1st, from 10 AM – 1 PM. We will have fun together as we make and use all-natural spa treats to help us feel refreshed and invigorated. Healthy snacks will be provided. The Ophelia’s Place Leadership group is excited to be suggesting and collecting new contributions to the Girl's Empowerment Library here at Ophelia's Place! Our leadership team has been hard at work researching and securing donations.
