Drop-In:

Drop-in hours are now from 3-6 PM, Monday-Thursday. We are now open BY APPOINTMENT only on Fridays. We welcome all girls ages 10-18 to drop in anytime between 3-6 PM Monday- Thursday to relax, read, chat, ask questions, or explore resources. You’ll have access to adult support and referrals, computers, and our libraries.

Please note:ADVANCE REGISTRATION is required by the deadline date. We accept checks, cash and Visa/Mastercard. Payment in advance will secure your place in the workshop.

Summer Activity Groups!

*Most summer workshops will run from 12-3 PM, Mon -Thurs. Because summer can be a busy and unpredictable time, we are asking for donations to reserve your spot in these groups. ($25-$75 per group, sliding scale.) ADVANCE REGISTRATION is required by the deadline date. We accept checks, cash and Visa/Mastercard. Payment in advance will ensure your place in the workshop.

Relax & Rejuvenate with Yoga & Meditation (age 14-18)

July 19-22 (Monday-Thursday, 12-3 PM each day.)Join us in learning to use our bodies and breath to relax and unwind while having fun, getting to know each other, and building new skills! Gentle, fun yoga poses and guided meditation will help us focus on practicing self-care, building community, and increasing confidence. No yoga or meditation experience required. Technology & Lego Robotics Workshop (age 11-14)

July 26-29 (Monday-Thursday, 12-3 PM each day.) Ever wonder what makes a robot tick? Build a Lego NXT robot and program it using Lego Mindstorms programming.  Find out how many different ways an autonomous robot can be designed, choose a task you want your robot to do, and make it happen!  Participants will be provided with lots of Lego parts and a basic introduction to design and function.  Learn how you can get involved in robotics in other ways.  Connect to the international community of robotic designers, the Oregon robotics outreach program.  Learn how kids score scholarships in robotics.  Find out how girls fit in.   It's a techno-robotic adventure, and it’s where you belong.  No advance knowledge of robots required! Girls’ Art Group (age 10-13)

August 2-5 (Monday-Thursday, 12-3 PM each day.)Do you enjoy being creative? Come be part of a girls’ art group at Ophelia’s Place! No previous art experience required. Explore many art forms to create projects that express who you are. Come have fun, make new friends, share your creativity and learn new skills! Multicultural Girls’ Group (age 15-18)

August 23-26 (Monday-Thursday, 12-3 PM each day.) Embrace the opportunity to cultivate pride, ownership, wisdom, ethnic identity and relationship strength. This group will serve as a space for young women of color ages 15-18 years old to talk about their experiences and develop a greater sense of pride and empowerment within their lives.
