At Ophelia's Place, we believe that it can be helpful at times to have a listening ear. We offer a non-judgmental, supportive environment where you can feel free to express yourself, ask for help, brainstorm creative solutions and build on your own strengths. Our approach to counseling reflects that.
We are here to support you in making informed, healthy decisions for yourself. We don't label, diagnose, preach or prescribe medication. What we do is help you achieve your personal goals and give you space to explore whatever is important or meaningful to you.
We do not bill insurance for counseling services. We do work with each individual girl and/or her family to arrange realistic and affordable payment options that will allow them to get the support they are seeking.
If you'd like to talk with one of us one-on-one, we are happy to talk with you more about your concerns and goals. If you'd like to work with a counselor, we can help you find the best fit for your specific needs and concerns.
Ophelia's Place counselors are here to listen, help you brainstorm solutions and support you to make your own informed choices. If Ophelia's isn't the best fit for your needs, we can help you find other counseling options in the community.
To get connected, please give us a call to schedule an Orientation appointment. We are open from 3 - 6 PM, Monday through Friday. Please bring a parent or guardian along with you if you are under 14. If you are over 14, feel free to come alone, with a female friend, or with a family member if you like.
Your initial Orientation visit to Ophelia's Place will include a tour of our center. We'll describe the different things we do here and show you around. Next, there is an offical "intake" process that takes about 30 minutes. During this time, we'll ask you to fill out a questionnaire and chat with us about who you are, your talents, skills and interests. Then you can let us know which of our services you may want to become involved in.
If you are interested in counseling, we can help connect you to the best person to help you address your concerns- whether that person is here at OP or with another local agency. You'll need parental consent to recieve counseling if you are under 13 years of age.
Once you've completed the Orientation process and paperwork, you'll be eligible to sign up for any available events, activities or support groups that may suit your needs and interests.
