Have you ever wanted to learn to make your own hats, totes, or even amigurumi? Do you want to learn a fun new skill to practice over the summer? Join us as we learn the basics of crochet together. No crochet experience required. Facilitated by OP staff and interns.

OP’s weekly fiber arts circle begins this spring! From crochet and knitting to needle felting, all fiber art mediums are welcome. Ophelia’s Place will have lots of options in stock, and you are always welcome to bring you own projects from home! Facilitated by Sara Spahn and Ophelia’s Place volunteers.

And what better way to practice self-care than to make tasty drink mixes, and adorable, microwaveable heat packs! If you like being warm and cozy, OP is the place to be!

Ophelia’s Place Makerspace is a place to fuel your creativity! Drawing, writing, sculpting, building, or anything in between, we’ve got what you need. Work on crafts, projects, and take home your creations! All materials and tools provided on site.

Clubs are weekly groups where you can hang out, make friends, and connect with peers and mentors through fun activities. Each club has a topic/theme and a suggested age range to help youth choose which group suits them best. There is a maximum of 8 participants per club so register while you can! If an activity is full, ask about getting on our waitlist! All clubs are facilitated by OP staff and interns/volunteers. Registration limited to a maximum of 2 clubs per participant. Sliding scale suggested donation $0-20 per club.

Would you like to learn to make your own self-care items, and take a peek at the science behind them? In our Self-Care Science workshop, we will be making bath bombs, lip balm, body wash, and more fun customizable items to help tap into a full self-care experience! Facilitated in Spanish and English by Gretchen Dandurand and Maria Sileoni from Oregon Tutor. All materials provided through Ophelia’s Place via pick-up at our site in Eugene.
